Anderson Cooper Expresses Interest In Co-Hosting With Kelly Ripa

Anderson Cooper expressed an interest in co-hosting on “Live! With Kelly” when he appeared on Thursday’s “Watch What Happens Live” hosted by Andy Cohen on Bravo.

Us Weekly had a recap of the televised guest appearance.

“Listen, I love Kelly and I think that show is … Kelly is the heart and soul of that show and it’s going to go on and continue to be great and I wish Michael the best in his new endeavor,” he responded to a caller on the show.

Cohen asked Cooper if how he feels about the prospect of co-hosting with Ripa on “Live!”

“Look, I’m very happy at CNN,” Cooper said. “It would be a dream to work with Kelly, but nobody’s offering anything, so….”

Would Cooper consider the gig if it were offered to him by ABC execs? It sounds like he wouldn’t turn it down.

Andy Cohen is said to be a good friend of Kelly Ripa’s as well and was asked if he’d consider a co-hosting gig on “Live!,” but he said he’s simply too busy with his own work on “WWHL” and other projects.

Michael Strahan’s last day on “Live!” is May 13. Given the circumstances over how the whole situation was handled, the network thought it best to move up his date of departure. Kelly was “blindsided” by news that her co-host was leaving.

While no offers are on the table for Anderson Cooper to take on the gig, he’s certainly open for discussion on the matter!

Who would you like to see take Strahan’s place next to Kelly Ripa?
