Another week, another Top Gear trailer. Just after releasing video of Matt LeBlanc off-roading for the revised incarnation of the car show, BBC America has dropped a third trailer that features LeBlanc and co-host Chris Evans palling around in Blackpool. It’s an unorthodox spot to say the least, and we’ve included it here for you to watch.
The new ad opens with Evans and LeBlanc being welcomed to the city, before reeling off clips of the upcoming season, which still has no specific premiere date. It does, however, give audiences their first looks at co-hosts Chris Harris and Eddie Jordan in their new presenting roles.
BBC America emphasized Evans in the first trailer and LeBlanc in the second, so it’s a nice change of pace to show at least two of the four additional presenters who were brought on in the wake of Top Gear‘s turnover. But it’s pretty clear from all of the video we’ve seen so far that this is the Evans and LeBlanc show.
BBC America still hasn’t confirmed a run date for Top Gear, continuing to state only that it’s “coming in May.” But they have declared that there will be an after-show to go along with each new episode, similar to what the network is doing with Orphan Black.
Meanwhile, the BBC Worldwide-produced US edition of Top Gear is back on the air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on History, while the Amazon Prime series featuring former hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May remains on track for a release this fall.
