If you’re a regular reader then you’ve likely noticed that our page has slowed to a crawl today. That’s because the women of Lifehacker are participating in the “A Day Without a Woman” strike, along with many of our colleagues across Gizmodo Media.

The organizers say that the purpose of the strike is to “[recognize] the enormous value that women of all backgrounds add to our socio-economic system—while receiving lower wages and experiencing greater inequities, vulnerability to discrimination, sexual harassment, and job insecurity.”
