The Powerball numbers are drawn at 11 p.m. ET every Wednesday and Saturday. The numbers will be posted below immediately after the drawing or you can download the free LotteryHub App and watch the numbers drawn via a live video feed on your iPhone or Android mobile device.
The winning numbers for May 28: 06, 33, 34, 58 and 59. Powerball: 12
If you are the lucky winner of tonight’s Powerball drawing, don’t expect to take home the full $90 million. The one-time payout for Saturday night’s jackpot is $58.7 million before taxes.
According to USA Mega, roughly 25 percent of the prize is immediately withheld for federal taxes, leaving the winner with $44,025,000 — and that’s before your state gets their share if they tax lottery winnings.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each — spending an extra $1 for the Powerplay feature will increase the payout of any non-jackpot prize you win.
Here are the combinations needed to win a non-jackpot prize:
- Match all five white balls – $1,000,000
- Match 4 white balls and the red Powerball — $50,000
- Match 4 white balls — $100
- Match 3 white balls and the red Powerball — $100
- Match 3 white balls — $7
- Match 2 white balls and the red Powerball — $7
- Match 1 white ball and the red Powerball — $4
- Match just the Powerball — $4
